Hi, I’m Amy (Todisco) Hartshorn—green living mentor, upcoming TEDx speaker, and host of the Green Living Now podcast.

I grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, attending private school and living a fast-paced city life. After college, I moved to Boston and then settled in Marblehead, MA for a bunch of years. But when I became pregnant, a simple nontoxic baby book opened my eyes to the hidden toxins in everyday products—and everything changed.

That awakening set me on a lifelong mission to create a healthier, more conscious way of living--and to share it with others, like you.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve served as the founding Executive Director of the Household Toxins Institute (launched by the founder of Seventh Generation), and as the technical editor of Green Living for Dummies. Today, I co-run a certified organic farm in Vermont with my husband, lead HGTV-featured farm tours, and guide health-conscious women to elevate their wellbeing and create toxin-free homes—starting with 5 elegant, science-backed steps.
